A variety of special speakers are featured at the monthly breakfasts offered to the men of Glen Avon and their guests on the second Wednesday of each month at 6:45 a.m. In addition to a variety of topics presented by guest speakers, each session involves six to eight different men of the church conducting the program and presenting opening prayers, devotionals, business matters, a hymn sing, introductions, closing prayer and a "Man-to-Man" self-biography on the career and life of a Glen Avon member. The breakfast adjourns at 8:00 a.m. The coordinators of the men’s breakfasts are Ray Pearson and Ellis Johns. A light breakfast is provided at no charge. Reservations are not necessary. Bring a friend!
** Wednesday, July 13th, at 6:45 a.m. ** Alex Guiliani, who developed the former Clyde Iron Works, will talk about his vision of a harbor complex that will enhance the downtown waterfront. The "Man of the Month" will be given by Bob Hjort.
** Wednesday, August 10th, at 6:45 a.m. ** Chris Benson, a Glen Avon member, will summarize his life and involvement in the reopening of a Duluth firm, Frost River.
