Grants to
Small Churches
Each year the Legacy and Endowment Fund of Glen Avon Presbyterian Church awards grants to smaller churches in the Presbytery of Northern Waters for capital projects. This is a matching grant program, requiring churches that receive grants to provide an equal amount of financial support or contributed labor/materials. Churches are notified in November each year, and completed applications are due March 1st of the following year. The Legacy and Endowment Fund Committee typically awards grants of $500-$2000. Over the years smaller churches in the Presbytery have received funds for new roofs, accessible facilities, furnace installations, and other improvements or repairs. The accumulated total per year is $5,000. These grants to small churches demonstrate Glen Avon’s commitment to assisting other congregations in the Presbytery.
