Small Groups
One of the primary ways our community gets to know each other is through participation in a variety of small groups. We welcome all to participate. Options include
Book Club – A group meets via Zoom at 4 p.m. on Tuesdays to discuss a wide variety of books related to social justice concerns.
Morning Women’s Zoom (Tuesdays 8 a.m.)
Morning Men’s Zoom (Fridays 7:30 a.m.)
Glen Avon Men's Association – Second Wednesday of the month, 7:30 a.m.
Adult Sunday School at 9 a.m. every Sunday in the church parlor
The Lectio Divina group meets on the second and fourth Wednesdays September through May. . We gather to discuss the four Bible verses listed for the following Sunday's Lectionary passages. Reading the passages aloud—often using various translations—provides an opportunity to discuss different interpretations. While some members prefer to consult commentaries beforehand, others focus on their immediate experience of the readings. We share the life experiences these passages elicit, creating a supportive environment where members can freely share both their faith and their doubts.
